Afterschool Programming
Our Afterschool programs foster cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in a safe space for all. We encourage children to develop at their own unique rate. We offer affordable rates for working families and financial assistance is available. Daily drop-ins are welcome too. The Y is committed to providing opportunities to strengthen the family unit as we learn, grow and thrive together.
The YMCA Afterschool Program builds brighter, stronger futures for kids by providing a fun, safe environment after school ends. We provide homework help, physical fitness, math and literacy activities, ARTS, STEM and a healthy snack!
The YMCA of the Lowcountry will provide Afterschool programs for the 2026-2027 school year at the following locations:

Robert Smalls Leadership Academy
Coosa Elementary
Polaris Tech Charter School
Heartwood Community School

REGISTRATION:
Registration begins July 15th in person at the Wardle Family YMCA front desk. There will be no online registration. You must bring current SC DHEC immunization records and completed Health Screening form to be eligible to register. Financial Aid forms must be submitted prior to registration.
START DATE: August 7th
HOURS: 2:45pm - 6pm | Open on half days
MONTHLY PRICING: $260 Members / $ 310 Non-Members
(The following months have discounted rates: Aug, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb and April)
DROP IN PRICING: $30 Members / $40 Non-Members / Day per Child
