ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Organizes and administers all assigned coaching responsibilities, including daily practices, recruiting, record keeping and scheduling.
- Develops positive relationships with team members and provides motivational support and guidance. Evaluates team members and records progress.
- Updates the aquatic director with team event information; communicate event entries and general team/parent communication.
- Recruits prospective members and provides information about YMCA membership and swim team fee structure.

Teacher’s Assistant – Early Childhood

Water Aerobics Instructor
- Part time: $20 – $22.50 per hour class depending on experience
- Availability Mon. and Fri. for 10am – 11am class in shallow water. Tues. 5:30pm – 6:30pm deep water class.
Water Aerobics Instructor to lead energizing, fun, safe and educational group classes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current certification as a group exercise instructor through the YMCA, ACE, AFFA and ACSM (preferred).
- Current CPR, First Aid, including AED, including AED.

Front Desk Staff Positions
- Early Morning Staff: 5 am – 10 am shift

Membership Services Staff (Front Desk Staff) is responsible for quality member service at the front desk/courtesy counter. This position will help maintain a satisfactory level of membership participation and retention. This position is also responsible for membership information and sales, facility tours, program information and registration, merchandise sales and member/guest check-in procedures. This position will act as a receptionist, answering the phone for all departments. At times is responsible for building supervision and opening and closing the facility. Membership Services staff will uphold and support the mission and four core values of the YMCA. See below for link to complete job description.
NOTE: Our facility is open 5 am – 9 pm Mon-Friday; Weekends (8am-5pm Saturday & 1pm-5pm Sunday). Staff filling this part-time position will work out schedule with Membership Director. Maximum 30 hours per week. $10-$12/hour depending on experience

Lifeguard

Swim Lesson Instructor

Personal Trainer (with Certification)
The personal trainer will educate and coach members on proper exercise, nutrition and healthy lifestyle adaptation resulting in healthier individuals.
Provides leadership and education to members, achieving a quality program for all involved. The personal trainer provides a fee-based service with all fees determined and paid to the YMCA.
The personal trainer will consistently exhibit behaviors and attitudes that are consistent with the YMCA mission and policies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have at least 1 year of personal training experience as well as nationally accredited personal training certification. Must be CPR certified.
- Knowledge and application of wellness, primarily physical fitness and an understanding of how to set basic fitness goals.
- This position requires availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluates the participant’s fitness level through a fitness evaluation or assessment.
- Assists the participant in creating goals that are achievable.
- Creates a program and makes recommendations that are within the personal trainer’s expertise.
- Monitors the progress of the member throughout the training program continuously modifying the program to achieve the stated goals.

Fitness Attendant- EARLY MORNING (5 am start)
Fitness Center staff person is responsible for assisting members in the development of exercise programs. Conduct fitness assessments, equipment orientations and maintain records for follow-up re-evaluations. Instruct individuals and groups on the use of the equipment in the Fitness Center. Maintain the cleanliness of all equipment and the wellness area in general. The Fitness Center staff will provide the support needed for member retention and involvement. Duties include:
- Warmly and enthusiastically greet members with a smile, hello and eye contact. Be aware of members’ needs and make an effort to approach them before they approach you. Anticipate their needs.
- Administer fitness assessments and Fitness Center equipment orientations.
- Monitor the Fitness Center and assist with keeping the Fitness Center clean and well maintained. This includes all equipment and the entire Fitness area.
- Keep all work areas clean, organized and safe for members.
- Be familiar with YMCA Emergency Procedures. Respond promptly and appropriately.
- Understand and follow all aspects of the critical incident management plan.
- Enforcement of all Fitness Center rules and policies.
- Make helpful suggestions as you identify members that may be using unsafe or ineffective techniques.
- Understand, abide by, and enforce YMCA policies and procedures.
- Arrive for shift on time, well -groomed and in proper uniform.
KNOW HOW: Should have excellent communication and listening skills. This position requires the ability and desire to work with the diverse needs of both the avid/regular exercise and health seeker populations. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
