The YMCA will follow the Town of Port Royal mask ordinance as well as CDC Guidelines.
Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 5:30 pm Starting Tuesday, September 8, 2020
The Y will provide space where BCSD virtual learning (7:30 am – 2:30 pm) will occur in conjunction with the student’s virtual day. Students will be required to provide their own school supplies needed to complete all activities in a plastic shoe box sized storage container, and laptops for those who are assigned these.
Traditional afterschool enrichment activities such as health & wellness, art, 21st century skills, etc., will resume after the virtual day, starting from approximately 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm.
Maximum classroom size will be 1 staff to 12 students with 6 areas available.
This program is only available to students Kindergarten – 7th grade who are enrolled in the Beaufort County School District.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic we are also offering the hybrid Y e-Learning Support Program (click here for more information) as well as Virtual Experience Brain Break for YMCA members (see below!)
Virtual Experience Brain Break:
This is a free program for anyone with a YMCA family category membership, enrollment is also available to new family category membership types. MUST have a family membership type to participate! Programming will occur Monday – Thursday 2:30 pm -3:30 pm beginning Monday, September 14, 2020. Students will choose from a variety of activities including but not limited to swimming, outdoor recreational activities, arts, aerobic classes, and space provided to finish any BCSD virtual assignments. Limited spots available. Advanced registration will begin Friday, August 21, 2020 and families must register for only the days they will be attending.
