Being healthy means more than simply being physically active. It’s about maintaining a balanced mind, body and spirit. The Y is a place where you can work toward that balance by challenging yourself to learn a new skill or hobby, fostering connections with friends through our lifelong learning programs, or bringing your loved ones closer together through our many family-centered activities. At the Y, it’s not about the activity you choose as much as it is about the benefits of living healthier on the inside as well as the outside.
MX4 SMALL GROUP TRAINING IS HERE!
MX4 is small-group, high-intensity interval training run as a circuit. This class is appropriate for people of all fitness levels who want to improve their cardio, power, strength and endurance in a motivating environment. Diverse, progressive workouts keep sessions fresh and engaging. Each 30-minute session is limited to just 8 participants, so you can count on plenty of one-on-one time with the certified trainer who will help tailor the program and exercises to your individual ability levels and goals. MX4 small group training is a great way to enhance your regular fitness routine!

NEW! Fluid Fitness
A new 45-min workout on the floating platform in the pool! This water class incorporates YOGA and Pilates moves to build your balance and strengthen your core. This low impact class gives a full body workout, suitable to all abilities.
We must receive payment and registration PRIOR to the first class. Limited space available.
MODIFIED MOVES – MAXIMUM RESULTS
EnhanceFitness is geared toward older adults, and those with a chronic condition, such as arthritis, need not worry; you’ll never have to do anything that hurts. This program aims to give you more energy, better balance, increase upper and lower body strength as well as your range of motion. This program is FREE for YMCA members but we ask that participants commit to the FULL 16-week program and attend all classes.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
- Program is 16-weeks in length and there will be several programs in 2019.
- Classes meet three times per week for 60-minutes each: Mon., Wed. & Fri. @1:30 pm in the Y aerobics room
- Classes include stretching, balance, aerobics and strength (with weights)
- Includes an initial assessment
- Some people will be standing, some will be seated—and some will use the chairs
to hold onto for support.
- You’ll notice that participants move at a pace that’s comfortable for them.
- The class focuses on strength, flexibility, movement and balance.
- You’ll make friends who will support you and cheer you on.
Enhance Fitness is open to the public for a cost of $150/non Y member. If you join the Y during the program we’ll waive your joining fee! Enhance Fitness is FREE for Y members.

Combining Latin and international music with dance moves, Zumba gets you moving! Burn calories and have F-U-N moving and grooving to hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue, and mambo music. Check out a Y Zumba class (6:35 pm Wed. & 4:30 pm Friday) with Jennifer and her ‘ole Hawaiian Zumba posse!
Urban Slide Line Class
New, FREE class offering for Y members! Urban Slide Class – incorporates music and movement inspired by rhythm and blues, classic soul, jazz, zydeco and hip hop music. Be ready to impress everyone with your dance floor skills at the next family wedding or event! All ages and genders are welcome to try this FREE class and learn the “Cupid Shuffle’,’The Wobble’, the “Cha Cha Slide” and more with instructor Lynn Bryant! No dance experience required! Fitness and fun in a community atmosphere.

Suspension Training bodyweight exercise develops strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. It requires the use of the TRX Suspension Trainer, a highly portable performance training tool that leverages gravity and the user’s body weight to complete hundreds of exercises.

This is a twelve week program that is free to all Y members. The program consists of an initial fitness assessment, a personalized exercise plan and a follow-up assessment.
