Beaufort YMCA Aquatic Club (BYAC) Tiger Sharks
Welcoming each swimmer and their families to the BYAC Swim Team ‘Tigersharks’ & Shark Pups!
The YMCA swim team program is a fun and rewarding experience. Swim team members are instructed on the correct technique in all four competitive strokes (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly), experience teamwork, make new friends, and complete drills and workouts to improve their skills, endurance, and fitness.
The summer swim team season begins April 15, 2019
The Beaufort YMCA Swim Team has 3 practice groups based on swimmer ability. Coaches will evaluate all swimmers to determine if they meet the requirements and assign the appropriate practice group. Swimmers not meeting minimum requirements are encouraged to enroll in the Swim Strokes – Stroke Development class to improve their technique.
The Wardle Family YMCA Tiger Sharks Swim Team offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. Participation in swim meets is highly encouraged in order to hone competitive swimming skills and track progress. Financial assistance is available.
